Thomas Island to Nara Inlet

Captain Greg and First Mate Janene sadly departed the great company of Nimrod and headed to Cid Harbor for the night of 23rd June - what a sunset! Joined by Seawind Regatta participants.

Cid Harbor

Then on to Abel Point Marina, Airlie, for two nights, to meet up with friends and collect our son, Justin. After a day trip sailing around Pioneer Bay reaching speeds up to 11 knots in 18-20 knot winds we sampled local backpaker night life drinking $12 jugs of bundy and coke at Beaches Hotel during 5.30-10pm happy hour(s)!

Happy Sailors!

Departed Airlie and reached across to Nara Inlet in 25-30 knot winds hitting a top speed of 13.5 knots. After being severely beaten by the Captain playing Rickety Kate, we had a pleasant night with occasional showers.

Justin - our deck hand!

Today (27th June) we have walked to the Cave at the top of Nara Inlet, read, washed, fished, kayaked and utilized the desalination unit  to fill up the port water tank with great success after a few starting problems.
